Madeline Bass, RGN, BSc (Hons), MIFA

Maddy qualified as a nurse in 1992 and since then has worked in many different settings. Over the previous 9 years she has worked in oncology and palliative care, and presently works as a palliative care nurse specialist in an acute hospital in the UK.

She qualified in massage and aromatherapy in 2004 and has joined the International Federation of Aromatherapy, and Embody.

She is also training in therapeutic touch and hopes to qualify in 2006.

Using the ‘m’ technique has been really helpful in agitated, dying patients, and is something which can easily be taught to ward nurses and the families and carers of palliative patients.  Maddy was one of the first UK therapists to qualify in teaching this technique. She lives in Ipswich and is keen to spread the word in Suffolk.
