Elaine Jones,
RN, MSN, RMT
Elaine is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in
Gerontological Nursing and obtained her Master's
degree from the University of Texas, Houston. She
is certified as a personal fitness trainer from
Baylor Sports Medicine Institute and is a
Registered Massage Therapist in the state of Texas.
Elaine has completed R J Buckle Associates'
practitioner and instructor course and is certified
to teach Clinical Aromatherapy and the 'm'
Technique.
She is presently employed in Family Practice as
Clinical Coordinator of Health Education and
Wellness. Elaine's full-time office practice
includes educational counseling in diabetes,
cholesterol, exercise and diet. Her part-time
complementary practice includes therapeutic
massage, personal fitness training, Healing Touch,
Reiki and Aromatherapy. She currently works with
older adults in strength training and osteoporosis
prevention. . She specializes her integrative
techniques for chronic pain, stress, general
relaxation, health and well being.
She has assisted the Kelsy-Seybold clinic with a
parathyroid research project. Additionally, she
also participated in the Baylor College of Medicine
Lipid Disorders Clinic which culminated in an
article which she co-authored and published in the
Southern Medical Journal, 1997: Physician Education
in Hyperlipidemia Management: The Impact on
Collaboration.
Elaine is past-president of Beta Beta Chapter
and member of Sigma Phi Omega, National Academic
Honor and Professional Society in Gerontology. She
is a member of the American Association of Office
Nurses, American Association of Diabetes Educators,
and the American Heart Association.
