Judi Gavlick, R.N, BBM, CCAP Judi received an RN diploma from Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, Pennsylvania in 1980.  In 1995, Judi gained a degree in Business Management in 1995 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has since worked in Surgery, Orthopedics, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.     Currently, Judi works in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department of Cardiology Services at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL. As co-chair of the Integrative Healing Team (IHT), she works to implement complementary modalities at the Hospital.  She also co-chairs the Aromatherapy Committee, a sub-committee of the IHT.  Over the past two years Judi has successfully brought about the implementation of Healing Touch (HT) for employees at the hospital and Environmental Aromatherapy throughout the hospital campus.  She teaches cardiac rehabilitation patients the benefits of simple energy techniques for lowering blood pressure, and she is spearheading the use of essential oils to lower stress levels.  She is currently developing a process to make Clinical Aromatherapy and Healing Touch modalities options for the inpatient population.  In June of 2008, Judi became certified as a Clinical Aromatherapist, She is also qualified in Healing Touch Level-3. She attended the Instructor course with Dr Jane Buckle at Texas Harris Methodist Medical Center, Fort Worth TX in February 2009. Judi lives in Chicago, IL and her email is jgavlick@schosp.org.
