Carol E. Gutierrez, RN, MS
 Carol
Gutierrez is a seasoned nursing professional with 30 years
nursing experience with patients across the lifespan. She
has worked as a nurse in medical-surgical nursing, nutritional
support, the emergency department, the operating room, nursing
education, and has recently returned to the emergency department,
in Arizona’s busiest emergency department.
Carol has been involved in integrative therapies since 1993.
She began her exploration with Reiki. This opened new pathways
of thought and possibility. She began her quest to return
to the softer side of nursing. She pursued her education
in integrative therapies, which facilitate healing through
a variety of techniques. She currently is a nationally certified
massage therapist, and holds certifications as an Advanced
Holistic Nurse, Healing Touch practitioner, Clinical Aromatherapist,
and Integrative Guided Imagery practitioner.
Carol enjoys education, both teaching and learning. She
is currently in school at the Southwest Institute of healing
arts, where she is enrolled in the Mind-Body Transformational
Psychology degree program. From there, she will complete
a degree program in Holistic Health.
While she was faculty at a diploma nursing program, she
introduced holistic concepts into the curriculum. In addition,
she offered optional workshops at the school on integrative
therapies, massage therapy, and relaxation techniques for
pre-test anxiety.
Carol became certified in Clinical Aromatherapy in 2004,
and became a certified instructor of Clinical Aromatherapy
with RJ Buckle Associates in 2005. Clinical Aromatherapy
is part of daily life for Carol. She uses essential oils
for self. family, and friends for health and healing.
I am willing to travel nationally to share the clinical
aromatherapy course.
