Suzanne Koivun. R.N., M.S.,
C.C.A.P.
Suzanne Koivun. R.N., M.S., C.C.A.P. , graduated with a diploma
in nursing from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing (1964),
received her B.S.N. from Loretto Heights College (1969) in
Denver, Colorado and achieved her M.S. in Nursing (1977) from
Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ. (Adult Health Clinician).
Her 40+ year nursing career has included rehabilitation/neurological,
pediatric, critical care for 16 years(Surgical, Medical, CCU,
Burn unit, ER), Maternal child:
Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, nursery; international nursing
with Hospital Ship Hope (Tunisia, North Africa, Jamaica, Natal,
Brazil for 4 ½ years. She is also involved in Rural
community based bilingual health education for Senior centers
statewide in AZ, working for two Arizona Indian Tribes : Navajo
(Sage Memorial Hospital, Ganado) and Pima –Maricopa
(Sacaton: Director Tribal Diabetes Program). She is also
part of the Governor’s Commission for Violence Against
Women, and Statewide Task Force for ER Protocols for Violence
Against Women.
Suzanne is teaches RN Baccalaureate students at the University
of the West Indies, Kingston Jamaica (1971) was full-time
faculty for RN students at Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale,
AZ (1981-2000) teaching basic & advanced Medical-Surgical,
maternal child and pharmacology. She completed active retirement
(2000-2005) teaching pre-nursing courses and cllinicals.
Suzanne has been practicing complementary/alternative medicine
techniques since 1998 and is Reiki Master in Usui and Mahatma
Reiki, Bowen Technique
Practitioner (Level III), Certified Clinical Aromatherapy
Practitioner in RJ Buckle Clinical Aromatherapy Course (2004),
Certified in Facial Rejuvenation, and Certified M Technique
Practitioner (2004). Presently Suzanne is most proud and passionate
about her Holistic nursing practice in the Great Day Medical
Clinic, Mesa, AZ. with a Naturopathic and Chiropractic physician(s).
Also, for the past 3 years she has been staff RN at Maricopa
Integrated Health Systems Hospital (Phoenix, AZ.) working
full-time in postpartum and nursery. Suzanne is committed
to Alternative and Complimentary Medicine modalities and practices
them in the community with people, horses, and dogs. In
addition, she is committed to doing hospital research with
Preterm labor mothers with the therapeutic essential oils.
Suzanne is willing to travel within the USA and in foreign
countries to teach Clinical Aromatherapy and M technique.
