Carolyn Railton
Carolyn left the corporate world in 2002, having been a Service Planning Analyst for an international company for several years, and previously having run her own retail business and distribution business, giving her a true understanding of the need to release the stresses this can create.
She trained at Raworth International College Dorking as a Reflexologist (ITEC: IIHHT: RDip). To further her skills she also trained in Maternity Reflexology and Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT), and holds a Nutrition Advisor’s Diploma.
In 2003 Carolyn qualified in Traditional Indian Head Massage (ITEC), became a Reiki practitioner and in 2004 added Thermo-Auricular Therapy (Hopi Earcandling) to her skill base.
Carolyn is currently studying Holistic Massage (ITEC).
Carolyn has worked as a volunteer with Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Service since qualifying as a Complementary Therapist, working on the ward at King Edward VII Hospital, Midhurst. She completed the Certificate in Pallliative Care for Complementary Therapists in 2005 and regularly attends the NACThPC Meetings.
In 2006, Carolyn qualified in the ‘m’ Technique, having recognised it’s value in this sphere of her work. She finds her referred patients benefit in many ways from the gentle, soothing, hypnotic effect of this treatment.
In 2007 Carolyn became an ‘m’ Technique instructor and would like to take this amazing touch technique into more Hospices and care centres.
She also aims to introduce this method of touch to her maternity clients through contact with the NCT.
Carolyn holds a Teaching Diploma and is a member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR) and the Complementary Therapists Association , Embody(CThA).
