I
always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, so I qualified
as a Nursing Auxilliary in 1981. I have considerable
experience working in various hospitals with the youngchronic
sick and with profoundly physically and mentally challenged
patients within a Respite Residential Care Home for Children. I
have had the priviledge of gaining experience in hospice
care within a homecare setting.
I trained in Body Massage and Aromatherapy in 2003
and achieved a Higher National Diploma with Merit qualified
by The SQA. I am an Associate Member of The International
Federation of Aromatherapists, where I have continued personal
development in my further training asan Aromatherapist. I
am currently working as a Complementary Therapist for the
frail elderly in Palliative Care, and also continue working
shifts as a Nursing Auxilliary covering Night Duties.
I trained in the ‘m’ technique with Dr
Jane Buckle in July 2004 and completed the ‘m’ technique
instructor course in March 2005.
