Linda
Weihbrecht,
Certified
Clinical Aromatherapist
Linda Weihbrecht is a certified Clinical
Aromatherapist and aromatherapy educator for R. J.
Buckle Associates LLC. Her
background is as a medical assistant for over
twenty years, ten years being spent in a
hospital/clinical setting in the areas of family
practice, urgent care, pediatrics and occupational
medicine.
She
holds an Associate Degree in Specialized Business
from Central Penn College. Linda is continuing her
studies towards completing her RN degree. Linda has
completed the certifi-cation program, Aromatherapy
for Health Professionals as well as the Instructor
Course through R.J. Buckle Associates
LLC. She presently works as
a Clinical Aromatherapist for a hospital based
women's health department, WomanCare Resource
Center.
Linda is also an apprentice in Healing Touch and
has received training in Guided Imagery for surgery
patients through Peggy Huddleston's Prepare for
Surgery and Heal Faster program.
She is the founder and facilitator of a hospital
based support group, "Coping with Anxiety and
Panic". This group uses a "tool box" approach for
coping with anxiety disorders.
Linda received a hospital grant to do research
on essential oils versus resistant bacteria. This
study, "The Activity of Ten Essential Oils Against
Three Types of Multiply Resistant Bacteria" was
presented at the 2002 NAHA World of Aromatherapy IV
Conference in Seattle, WA and at the 2003 103rd
Annual Meeting of the American Society of
Microbiology in Washington, DC.
